GLASS WORKSHOP

Stained glass, also called vitraux, can be an art or a craft, or both things at the same time, since you need an artistic skill to design it, as well as specific technical knowledges to carry it out.

Traditionally it was used for the elaboration of windows, but nowadays, especially since the creation of the Tiffany technique, the possibilities to create different types of objects have been multiplied.

During the Stained Glass workshop you will learn to make windows, lamps and decoration objects through the Tiffany technique. You will cut glass from the first class to move forward the design process and the creation of a stained glass window.

No previous knowledges needed.

 

• PAINTING ON GLASS

In this course we will apply different types of pictorical techniques, starting with the study of glass and the pigments that will be used: grisailles and enamels

This paintings, once they are fired are a chemical part of the glass.

We will learn to filetear, as well as use plain inks and achieve volums.
